Binchotan charcoal water filter is a natural & sustainable way to purify your tap water.
You can use it as a replacement for the disposable plastic filters which inevitably contribute to the single-use plastic cycle!
Binchotan charcoal can absorbs chlorine, heavy metals and other chemicals from tap water and remove its unpleasant taste and odour while adding beneficial natural minerals such as calcium, potassium, magnesium and iron etc.
Filtering time is approximately 3-4 hours for 500ml. Even better if left overnight.
(※ Sometimes you see very small particles of the charcoal in the water, but it’s totally safe even if you swallow them.)
The filter lasts for 6 months by boiling it for 10 minutes every 2-3 weeks to wash out the absorbed chemicals and freshen it up.
WHAT IS BINCHOTAN?
Binchotan, also known as white charcoal is a high quality activated carbon that is made from hardwood that are ethically produced at a forest in Taiwan.
It was specially combusted and slow burnt under temperature up to 1,000 degrees in 15 to 20 days to help completely eliminate impurities and achieve almost 100% carbon content.
Due to the micro-porous structure of the Binchotan charcoal, it can absorbs chlorine, heavy metals and other chemicals from tap water and remove its unpleasant taste and odour while releasing good natural minerals into it.
(※ Binchotan is super porous and has millions of tiny pores. Therefore 1g of charcoal has as much surface area as a tennis court.)
Binchotan has an ability to soften water and improve the quality of water, resulting in great tasting healthier water.

・Easy to use: simply boil the charcoal for 10 minutes then place into a pitcher/jug of drinking water.

・Binchotan can be reused up to about 6 months. Reactivate charcoal every two weeks by boiling for 10 minutes and letting dry. This washes out the impurities and frees the charcoal up to absorb more chemicals.

– Removing odour from your shoes, closet or fridge.
– Freshen indoor air, absorb dampness in wardrobes and cupboards.
– Eliminating electrical waves next to the laptop and all the electronic devices.
– Breaking it into small pieces and placing in the garden soil to improve the flow of water and create air cavities for healthier plant.

| How to use
1. Wash the charcoal with running water and boil for 10 minutes and let it dry avoiding direct sunlight.
2. Simply place the charcoal into your drinking water and leave for 3-4 hours before drinking. Even better if left overnight.

3. Every 2 – 3 weeks, repeat step 1 to remove any toxins and impurities that were collected from the tap water.
After 6 months, you can still use the charcoal for many other purposes such as

・Freshen indoor air, absorb dampness in wardrobes and cupboards
・Eliminating electrical waves next to the laptop and all the electronic devices.
・Placing in the garden soil to improve the flow of water and alkalise the soil for healthier plants.
