Rhodes Lunar New Year Festival 2023
We are very excited to inform you that we are going to participate in Rhodes Lunar New Year Festival 2023 on Sun 22nd January from 9.30 - 18.00.
Lunar New Year, Chinese "Chunjie", Vietnamese "Tet", Korean "Solnal", and Tibetan "Losar", also called Spring Festival, is a time for family reunions and hope. It is a festival celebrated in China and other Asian countries that begins with the first new moon of the lunar calendar and ends 15 days later with the first full moon of the lunar calendar.
The first day, known as Spring Festival, is for the deities of the Heavens and Earth to be welcomed at midnight. It is traditional
practice to light fireworks, burn bamboo sticks and firecrackers, and perform lion dance troupes to ward off evil spirits. It is also a
day when family members will gather to bless one another.
